Vogue World 2024 decided to spice things up by bringing sports-inspired fits to Place Vendôme – including cycling, gymnastics, tennis, fencing, and more – all while highlighting French fashion dating back to the 1920s.
While legends and models enraptured audiences at the event, Vogue World failed to capture the je ne sais quoi of French fashion and gave off Hunger Games vibes rather than haute couture. Vogue writes that they paid homage to historic and contemporary French designers and added that there were a few surprise performances. They for sure delivered on the surprises, but not quite in the way you would expect.
