Singer-songwriter Pink has never had a problem with speaking her mind. She has made loud statements that she no longer wants any pro-life people to listen to her music. She has also bashed people who are skeptical of the coronavirus vaccine, while being paid by Pfizer to promote a new Covid drug. Her latest internet drama involves Christina Aguilera. She spoke out about a past feud the two singers had with one another and laments over that her new album "Trustfall" is being overshadowed by whatever bad blood is supposedly left between them, claiming that this wouldn't be an issue at all if they were men.

Pink Addresses Feud with Christina Aguilera and Complains That "the Art Can Never Be the Focus When You’re a Woman"

Pink was recently a guest on CNN's "Who's Talking" with Chris Wallace, where she addressed a disagreement that happened between her and Christina Aguilera in 2001 when they recorded the music video for "Lady Marmalade" together. According to Pink, Christina was furious that Pink was sitting in her chair, even though Pink had no idea it was Christina's chair. According to Pink, Christina wanted to "shut down the entire production." Pink told Chris that she was homeless when she was 15 years old, and since then, she doesn't tolerate people talking to her in any way they want.

Pink said she confronted Christina, and things clearly got heated, but she also said that it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. There are all sorts of people who don't get along in all sorts of work settings, and they just figure it out, work it out, and move on.

The clip went viral and was talked about by thousands of fans. Pink released a photo on her Instagram on Sunday with a long caption describing why she was unhappy about how the press tour was going for her album "Trustfall." She didn't like the fact that her past feud with Christina was being focused on so much.

"I’m so saddened and disappointed by the narrative surrounding some of the press I’ve been doing around my album Trustfall," she wrote. "While some of the responsibility lays with me and my inability to lie, and my uncanny ability to overshare - my real disappointment lies in the fact that the art can never be the focus when you’re a woman."

She talks about how hard she worked on this album and how many people contributed to the completion of it, and yet when she is on a press tour to promote her album, she is constantly asked about a "silly feud from your twenties."

"And for every one or two women I’ve had issue with - there are hundreds that I’ve complimented and supported and loved on. But we don’t talk about that," she continued. "I wonder when the last time Bradley Cooper or Robert Deniro were asked in interview after interview about any argument they’d ever had. How about Christian Bale? We stick to the art with them, Don’t we? I’d like to have the same opportunity."

Pink says she believes in "authentic apology" and "owning your mistakes." She wants to "share the pains and the celebrations of this messy life through music and on stage" and she believes that she has accomplished that.

"To Christina- you know where we stand. Resolved. Onwards and upwards. And thank you all for listening- and for the 25 years," she concluded. "Of kick ass love and support."

Many comments praise Pink's vulnerability and confirm her thoughts that women are treated differently in the industry, that men are taken more seriously, etc. Christina hasn't offered her official response to the controversy they endured more than 20 years ago, but Pink has made it clear that she wants to move past it and she would like people to focus more on her music.
