It only made sense for Mattel to join the Wicked hype and release adorable Glinda and Elphaba dolls to celebrate the movie adaptation. However, the toy company made a huge error.

The link on the packaging for these dolls was supposed to direct fans to the Wicked movie site, but instead of “wickedmovie.com,” someone at Mattel somehow skipped the whole “movie” part and printed “wicked.com.” Audience members were shocked to learn that the misprint led to a pornographic website.

The company issued an apology following the backlash this weekend. “Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,” their statement read.

“We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, by Sunday afternoon, Target had already pulled the entire Wicked doll collection off shelves.

The lineup included everything from fashion dolls to deluxe collector models, but thanks to the website fiasco, they’re now disappearing from pretty much every major retailer, including Walmart, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Best Buy, DSW, and Amazon.
