Rosetta, who has been vocal about her advocacy for the lesbian community, shared about her experience with Tinder on X. “I’ve just been banned from @Tinder for privately reporting this clearly-a-man, asking for an option for lesbians to opt out of trans women. As they are male. I made the request privately, I didn’t contact this individual, I have not been hateful. But I’m banned for life?” she said.

She also shared the private complaint and request that she'd sent to Tinder, which resulted in her lifetime ban: “[This person] is not a lesbian. Please do not allow males (even trans women) to claim to be lesbians. Offer an option for trans lesbian and allow women the option to opt out of being matched with them. Please respect the lesbian community. We don’t date males.”

In response, Tinder banned her account, citing the promotion of “racism, bigotry, violence or hatred toward others for who they are.”

Rosetta expressed her frustration and sadness over the ban, highlighting the impact on her ability to find meaningful connections. She said, "I know it seems like a tiny thing & just-one-app but it’s the biggest dating app in the world. Being told my sexuality is not acceptable & removed from an app which lesbians don’t use as a hook-up app, but to find love, is devastating.”

She further elaborated on the broader implications for the lesbian community, noting the marginalization lesbians face within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. She said, “It reminds me lesbians are not only the minority in the LGBT – vastly outnumbered by gay men, bi women & now trans people – but that our very existence is being re-considered & deemed hateful. Because males object. I repeat – males are insisting on being included in the lesbian community (not just the LGBTQ) & expect access to the bodies of lesbian women. Any concerns or objections raised by lesbians are quickly shut down, seeing us ousted & severed from our own communities. For life.”

Rosetta has vowed to challenge Tinder’s decision, promising to seek an explanation for why lesbians are being punished for having sexual boundaries. She criticized the platform for not respecting women’s ability to say no and for shaming lesbians who request the option to decline men.

Rosetta also revealed her evolving views on the intersection of trans rights and women's rights after researching J.K. Rowling’s controversial statements. Initially tasked with writing a piece condemning Rowling, Rosetta’s extensive research led her to a different conclusion.

"3 months of dedicated research & I cannot find a single truly transphobic JK Rowling quote that stands up against the scrutiny of journalistic integrity," Rosetta explained "The abuse JK has endured is beyond forgiveness. Every death threat, r*pe threat & torrent of abuse, she has born w/ grace."

"Shame on those who have framed her under the guise of 'reporting' when you must know, deep down, you are just chucking out clickbait & stirring up hate," she added. "Shame on those who followed that propaganda without critical thought. You’re burning the wrong witch. I stand with@jk_rowling."

Rosetta’s experience continues to raise critical questions about the questionable "inclusivity" policies of major platforms like Tinder and their growing negative impact.
