Leighton Meester To Join Husband Adam Brody In Season 2 Of "Nobody Wants This"

Meester, renowned for her role as Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, has continued to diversify her portfolio with roles in series like The Buccaneers and an upcoming HBO pilot. Brody, forever remembered as Seth Cohen from The O.C., has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, with Nobody Wants This, which has quickly ascended to the top of Netflix's charts.

In the series, Brody portrays Rabbi Noah, a character that has earned him fangirls everywhere and culminated in a Best Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. During his acceptance speech, Brody expressed heartfelt gratitude and gave an adorable shout-out to Meester, further endearing him to fans.

Meester will portray Abby, the middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell's character, Joanne. Abby is now an Instagram mommy influencer, adding a new layer of complexity to Joanne's life.

Prior to Nobody Wants This, the couple co-starred in the 2011 film The Oranges and reunited on-screen in the 2023 thriller River Wild. Despite frequent opportunities to work together, they have been selective, as Meester noted in a recent interview: "We don't have a dream project, we always like to work together when it comes up."

Married since 2014, the couple has two children: a daughter named Arlo, born in 2015, and a son born in 2020. Despite their public careers, Meester and Brody have consistently maintained a low profile regarding their family life, choosing to keep their children's lives out of the spotlight.
