Everyone believed the love story between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce.

Their relationship was highly publicized: the singer attended Kelce's games in late 2023, and the two posted selfies together. Her presence in the stands had young women tuning in to watch football. Naturally, Swifties analyzed the couple's every move – some even worried about the singer's safety due to Kelce's seemingly short temper. The duo captured the attention of sports fans as well; their relationship was a win for both the NFL and Swift, proving that anything she touches turns to gold.

As if scripted by fate, the Kansas City Chiefs went on to win the championship in early 2024. While the game itself wasn't scripted – at least as far as we know – recent allegations suggest Swift and Kelce's relationship might be.

Speculations were fueled on September 4, 2024, after the DailyMail published an article with a lengthy title that read, "Travis Kelce's team call in lawyers over leaked 'contract' that claimed to reveal the exact date his relationship with Taylor Swift would end: Fake PR 'strategy document' spread online gave illusion their year-long love story was a sham."

Alleged Leaked “Contract” of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Relationship

A photo of an alleged fake document claiming to be from Kelce’s PR team continues to circulate online. The document claimed to be from the Los Angeles-based firm Full Scope, per the DailyMail, outlining a plan for a breakup announcement slated for September 28. The paperwork describes the split as a "natural part of life," focusing on Kelce's "personal growth" and framing it as a mutual decision.

The amicable breakup will aim "To effectively manage and mitigate the fallout from the breakup between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, ensuring Travis Kelce retains a positive public image, minimizes negative media portrayal, and continues to build his personal and professional brand," it reads.

However, a spokesperson for Full Scope has stated that the documents are "entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued or authorized by this agency."

The representative also mentioned that lawyers have been brought in to address the situation, though locating the source of the forgery is anticipated to be difficult. "We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents," they added.

Redditors agree that the documents are fake. "Any PR firm would have used code names," wrote one user. Another said, "Guys, this is generated by ChatGPT. Is anyone actually believing this is real?"

"That’s a WILD thing to fake. Whoever posted this is about to be sued into oblivion," commented @Luna-Fermosa.

Are Fake Relationships a Thing in Hollywood?

While the document does seem very fake, Kelce is represented by Jack Ketsoyan and Pia Malihi. Why does this matter? Well, Ketsoyan has admitted to putting together "showmances" in the past, "where celebrities are set up for publicity." When he was featured on Mamamia’s Australian podcast, The Quicky, Ketsoyan explained, “I’ve had two [showmances] that I did in my career.”

“The main clue you would see is if a certain high profile male is dating a female who was not high-profile, and all of a sudden overnight, they are the most talked about girl in Hollywood and everyone wants a piece of them,” he added. “It’s such a career boost for a female that some females end up taking the deal because it just – overnight, they become a household name." Is this what happened with Swift and Kelce, just gender-swapped? Kelce became an overnight sensation after the media started linking him with the singer.

Swift talked about Kelce for the first time in December 2023 when she told Time Magazine, "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell." At that time, she was named Time's "Person of the Year."

"We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," she continued. "By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

She added, "When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don't care."

"The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other."
