Hotel Workers Detained In Liam Payne’s Death Investigation, Accused Of Supplying Drugs
Will we finally get justice for Liam Payne?
Liam Payne, former One Direction star, tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, at the age of 31. The shocking announcement of his death came after he fell from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, a city he had traveled to for a visa renewal and a concert.
Hotel staff who called emergency services after witnessing Payne’s destructive behavior in his room described him as possibly being under the influence of both drugs and alcohol. According to reports, Payne was seen acting erratically just hours before his fall and reportedly broke items in his hotel room. Authorities later confirmed that toxicology reports found alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death.
While the official cause of death was ruled as multiple trauma from the fall, the details remain murky. Fans and viewers feel that something was off about his death. Witnesses reported Payne’s lack of protective reflexes during the fall, suggesting he may have been unconscious or semi-conscious at the time. More recently, three individuals have been charged in relation to his death, including a hotel employee accused of supplying Payne with narcotics and another person charged with abandonment following the death. They are both charged with two acts of supplying narcotics.
Rogelio “Roger” Nores, an Argentine businessman and friend of Liam Payne, is denying any involvement in the singer’s death or the ongoing investigation, according to ENews. “I never abandoned Liam,” Nores told the Daily Mail. “I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened. There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left.”
Nores, who was not under investigation at the time of his statement, said he spoke to authorities shortly after Payne’s tragic fall. “I could have never imagined something like this would happen,” he said. “I’ve given my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness and I haven’t spoken to any police officer or prosecutor ever since.”
