Here's Why Sex On Vacation Is Just...Better
You're about to go on vacation, and you start thinking about what to pack. What outfits should you bring, how many bikinis will you need, and all those toiletries. And don't forget the toothbrush!
You can already smell the sea salt in the air and feel the warm sand between your toes. Your body releases tension and muscles relax. You can finally let go of the daily grind for a few days. And what about sex? Sex is always better when you're on vacation.
Sexcation Is a Thing
You're right in thinking sex is better on vacation. According to a study by IllicitEncounters, out of the two thousand people surveyed, 9 out of 10 reported they have more adventurous sex when on vacation. The top favorite place to get "busy" is on the beach. A field comes in at third, followed by a park, then a swimming pool, then other bodies of water like lakes and rivers. The least favorite place is a nightclub. Can you sense a theme going on?
You might not be brave enough to have sex outdoors; I mean, what if you get caught? Or maybe you are? Either way, you can't deny that sex is way more fun on holiday.
Going on Vacation Is an Aphrodisiac
The survey also found that 82% of men and 78% of women find holidays an aphrodisiac and desire sex more frequently when they're taking a break from everyday life. Being in new surroundings and sleeping in a new hotel room feels exciting. It mixes things up, it gets your endorphins going, and it makes you come alive. No schedule, no to-do list, and no interruptions mean you can relax and be spontaneous.
If you're the type who likes doing lots of activities, the hotel room is a delightful crash pad after a busy day of sightseeing. But if you're more like me and love a hotel stay, you raid the minibar and take advantage of all the complimentary toiletries and hotel facilities. You also adore sleeping in their crisp white cotton sheets that feel amazing against your skin. And yes, sex is fun in hotel rooms. Everything feels more stimulating in a hotel.
No schedule, no to-do list, and no interruptions mean you can relax and be spontaneous.
According to a survey conducted by HotelTonight in the Daily Mail, couples considered themselves better lovers in hotel rooms rather than at home. HotelTonight asked guests from 11 different countries worldwide about a range of topics, including whether couples thought their partners were better lovers in hotels and whether lovemaking is more prolonged, adventurous, or frequent.
The results showed that 72% of vacation lovemaking sessions in Mexico lasted nearly an hour more than what’s usual for Mexicans, and 75% said intimate times were more adventurous than at home. Sadly for Germans, though, only 14% percent of those surveyed believed they were better in the hotel sack. But across the board, sex sessions were longer and more frequent, and overall, every country's participants thought intimacy was better in a hotel.
The majority of couples considers themselves better lovers in hotel rooms than at home.
Tomas Mendoza, U.K. manager of HotelTonight, said, "As our survey reveals, staying in a hotel room provides you and your partner with exciting new surroundings that can help you relax and get in the mood. While some of the research findings play up to the stereotypes, others fly in the face of them. Regardless of where you are in the world, a stay in a hotel is all it takes to spice things up."
