Hailee, 28, has been in the spotlight since she was 13, when her role in True Grit earned her an Oscar nomination and instant critical acclaim. Josh Allen, 29, meanwhile, has been creating his own legacy in the NFL as the star quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. In early 2025, he was named NFL MVP and signed a $330 million contract extension. He’s spoken openly about the pressures of fame and how he keeps perspective, often crediting his faith, family, and now, his relationship with Hailee.

The pair first sparked dating rumors in 2023 but confirmed their relationship quietly in 2024. Their engagement came in November of that year, and Hailee later joked that she was just grateful she “looked good” that day and had photos to prove it.

According to Steinfeld’s own reflections shared in her lifestyle newsletter Beau Society, the wedding weekend was full of emotional, joyful, and personal moments. The festivities kicked off with a private family dinner on May 29, followed by a welcome garden party on May 30. The wedding ceremony took place the following day, with a late-night pool party capping off the celebration.

Fashion was front and center. Hailee wore three Tamara Ralph couture gowns, all executed in a tight six-week schedule, that included a strapless ceremony dress with a dramatic circular train, Chantilly lace veil, Mikimoto pearls, and opera gloves.

She wrote that this gown “stunned” Josh as she walked down the aisle: “I actually lost my breath…I’ve never felt more like myself and more beautiful.” Her welcome party featured a structured, beaded gown and blazer; the after-party saw her in a sequined, feather-trimmed mini, all styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn. Josh complemented her in a classic Tom Ford tux.

A Personal and Unplugged Affair

The couple opted for a “no phones” policy during the ceremony, allowing guests to fully experience the moment without distractions. Steinfeld also revealed that she and Allen broke with tradition and spent the morning of the wedding together, enjoying lemon-ricotta pancakes before preparing for the ceremony.

“It was the best decision we made,” Steinfeld wrote. “The calm, the laughter, the quiet joy—it’s a memory we’ll always cherish.”

Guests reportedly shared stories about the couple throughout the weekend, with Steinfeld’s brother Griffin prompting toasts during the rehearsal dinner by asking, “When did you know they were meant to be?”

After the ceremony, the reception turned wild, with Allen quoting The Wolf of Wall Street—“I’m not f***ing leaving!”—as guests jumped into the pool, fully clothed, around 3 a.m.

Reflecting on the wedding, Steinfeld described it as “a blur of love, laughter, and gratitude,” noting that unexpected memories from their relationship surfaced throughout the weekend in quiet, touching ways.

Allen echoed the sentiment in a recent interview, calling the wedding “the most important decision of my life.”
