Ethan Slater's Wife Found Flirty Texts Between Him And Ariana Grande, According To Source
According to an insider, Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater were "definitely cheating."

A new source recently told The Post the co-stars experienced a "gravity pull” on the set of Wicked. “They [Ariana and Ethan] could have been in a bubble, and there was a gravity pull. No one ever goes into a show looking for romance. You’re just in these situations and you’re going through this exciting stressful process together. It just kind of happens,” the "source close to Slater" told the outlet.
Previous reports claim that Grande and Slater were not together while the SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical star was with his then-partner, Lilly Jay. However, his ex-wife allegedly said that she was “blindsided” by the divorce headlines in 2023, and people close to them weren’t expecting the split either. “I thought he [Slater] was very happy with Lilly. It was a total surprise to me,” the source said.
According to Page Six, the insider subtly acknowledged the couple’s actions, adding, "I'm sure there were some hearts broken in the process." For context, Lilly Jay had a baby who wasn’t even a year old when their divorce was announced. To make matters worse, Grande had been liking Slater’s Instagram posts about his wife just months before the split, sparking rumors that the Wicked co-stars were involved in an affair. "Some hearts broken" sounds like a huge understatement.
Here's the bombshell Page Six dropped: “They were definitely cheating …” claims the source. “Ethan’s wife found texts between them flirting. Ariana even met the baby a couple of times while they were both married.”
As for the relationship timeline, it’s still all over the place. Grande and Slater first met on the Wicked set in 2022, but both were married at the time. In June 2023, Lilly Jay made a sweet post about Slater on Facebook, and it seemed like everything was fine.
But by July 2023, Ariana had separated from her husband, Dalton Gomez, and just days later, Ethan’s relationship with Lilly came to a screeching halt. Fans and critics pointed fingers at Ariana, who fired back with some lyrics in her song "Yes, And?"
From public embraces on red carpets to rumors of Slater wanting to propose, they seem determined to prove they're the real deal. Yet, it’s hard to ignore the whispers about the how and the when.
