Dwayne Johnson Won't Endorse Joe Biden Again, Says "Woke Culture" Bugs Him
The Rock says he's unhappy with the state of America, and “Today’s cancel culture, woke culture, division, etc." really bugs him.

In 2020, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson publicly endorsed Joe Biden for president. He faced a lot of backlash at the time, but he's also recently come under fire for releasing a shampoo line – despite being bald.
Now, in his latest interview with Fox News, the Red One star reveals that he is quite remorseful about causing division in the country. “The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was one I thought was the best decision for me at that time,” Johnson confessed. “I thought, ‘I’m in this position where I have some influence,' and I felt it was my job then to exercise my influence [and] share: 'This is who I’m going to endorse.’ I’m not going to do that. I was then, the most followed man in the world, and am today, and I appreciate that… but what that caused was something that tears me up in my guts – which is division. That got me. I didn’t realize that then, I just felt like there was a lot of unrest and I’d like things to calm down.”
Johnson's goal is now to bring the country together, and there will be no political endorsement in 2024. He continued, “The takeaway after that was it caused an incredible amount of division. I realize now going into this election, I will not do that. My goal is to bring this country together. I believe in that. There will be no endorsement. At this level of influence, I will keep my politics to myself. It is between me and the ballot box. But I will tell you this: Like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for, that is my president and who I will support 100 percent.”
When the outlet's Will Cain asked the actor if he was happy with the state of the U.S., Johnson responded, "No."
“Today’s cancel culture, woke culture, division, etc. – that really bugs me,” he said. “In the spirit of that, you either succumb to that and be what other people want you to be, or you be yourself and be real … and that might make people upset and piss people off, and that’s okay.”
As for running to be a political candidate himself, the actor added, “No, that’s not my intention. I’m not a politician.”
It's rare to see a celebrity publicly denounce "woke culture," so we've got to give him credit there. Is it possible that even high-profile names realize how awful a president Joe Biden is? "Dwayne Johnson @TheRock just said he won’t be endorsing Joe Biden for 2024," noted @Bubblebathgirl on X (formerly Twitter). "Is Hollywood now even realizing what a disaster Biden has been for America?"
Not only has Johnson angered left-leaning individuals with his recent statements, but he has also angered conservatives. Liberals believe Johnson is a "sellout" and is attempting to pander to the conservative audience after being named one of the board of directors for TKO Group, the parent of WWE and UFC.
Meanwhile, Republicans are not forgetting how he plugged Biden years ago and remained silent on societal issues for years.
An X user re-uploaded the video of Johnson praising both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden years ago. "Dear Dwayne Johnson, we haven’t forgotten how you helped f*ck our country!" @KellyKayK wrote. "Back peddling now means nothing. The damage is done!"
Johnson also never said he wouldn't vote for Biden; he simply said he wouldn't endorse any candidates publicly.
