Looks like Disney's Tangled is getting a live-action version, and fans have a lot to say about it. While some Disney fans are incredibly excited about the remake, others are experiencing fatigue with the endless adaptations and lack of original stories.

According to Deadline, Michael Gracey, the mastermind behind The Greatest Showman, is in talks to direct the project. The plot details are still under wraps, but it’s expected to follow the general trajectory of the animated version.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, known for Do Revenge and Thor: Love and Thunder, penned the most recent draft of the script. The producing team includes Kristin Burr and Lucy Kitada from Burr! Productions, who’ve worked on everything from Dora and the Lost City of Gold to The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

The casting is still a mystery – but the internet already has plenty of thoughts on who should take on the iconic roles.

The Dream Cast

People are seriously hoping for blonde actresses with talent. Names like Sabrina Carpenter, Meg Donnelly, and Dove Cameron are fan favorites.

Now, for Flynn Rider...we can’t forget about him. Some have floated the idea of Timothée Chalamet taking on the role, and he definitely fits that quirky yet cute vibe that made the animated Flynn such a fan favorite.

When Can We Expect It?

There’s no official release date yet, but fans have been eagerly waiting for this moment. The animated Tangled movie revitalized the Disney princess genre for a new generation, and it looks like the live-action version might just do the same. With The Greatest Showman director on board, plus a script from Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, there’s a lot to be excited about.
