Chris Pratt, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern star alongside Bryce Dallas Howard in Jurassic World: Dominion, and Bryce shared that she wasn't exactly comfortable going on set with her natural figure due to some comments that were made about her weight.

Bryce sat down with her costar DeWanda Wise to talk about their experience on the Jurassic World set. She revealed that some executives working on the film encouraged her to shed a few pounds before she came to work. She was glad to have someone stick up for her.
"What being in this third film allowed, how do I say this, how do I say this, how do I say this…[I’ve] been asked to not use my natural body in cinema," Bryce said. Director Colin Trevorrow insisted that this absurd request be put to rest.
"On the third movie, it was actually because there were so many women cast, it was something that Colin felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me," she continued, "because the conversation came up again, 'We need to ask Bryce to lose weight.'"
Colin said there are "lots of different women on this planet and there are lots of different kinds of women in our film." Plus, Bryce did a lot of her own stunts and she said it "wouldn't have been possible if I had been dieting."
Bryce was "really thrilled" at all the action she was able to do herself in the film. "And I got to do it with my body," she said. "She was at her maximum strength, and I hope it is just yet another indication of what's possible."
Bryce has always been candid about the struggle of feeling confident in her own skin. She revealed in a 2013 interview that she gained 80 pounds with her first pregnancy in 2007. "I was now mortified by it," she said. "I felt I was failing at breastfeeding. My house was a mess."
Although she dealt with postpartum depression, she worked hard to lose the excess weight. Since then, she has been outspoken about the pressures women feel to look a certain way. "Society puts all this scrutiny on women's bodies, which in a way serves to make us go insane," she once said. "If you allow your spirit to be broken by trying to conform, you will be off track for your entire life."
