President Trump has chosen Tom Homan as the new Border Czar, and he’s making a promise: to locate and reunite hundreds of thousands of missing migrant children with their families. Homan, who previously led (ICE) under Trump, is returning with what he describes as a mission to tackle a "national crisis."

In a recent announcement, Homan addressed the U.S. immigration system’s failures and the number of unaccounted-for migrant children who crossed the border in recent years. “We’re going to find the half a million missing children and save them,” Homan declared. “We’re going to reunite them with their families.”

According to EconoTimes, Homan outlined a strategic plan focused on finding and reuniting these children. His role as Border Czar grants him oversight not just of immigration enforcement but also of the nation’s border policies, extending to both land and maritime security. “This is about protecting innocent children who were lost in the shuffle of a broken system,” he said.

Homan’s team will collaborate with multiple federal agencies to track the missing children to conduct in-depth investigations and a thorough review of existing records. The outlet reports that Homan is focusing on utilizing advanced tracking software, enhanced data-sharing between agencies, and partnerships with international entities. His goal is to bring these children home, no matter what.

“We’re not giving up. These children deserve a future, and we will bring them home,” Homan told reporters.

In 2023, Homan emphasized securing the border for women's and kids' safety. “Over 100,000 Americans have died from fentanyl overdoses. A record. ICE has more sex trafficking investigations of women and children this year than the last six years combined," he said in his statement. “A record number of women and children being sex trafficked. And the thing that bothers me the most, on top of all those terrible things, a record number of known suspected terrorists have been arrested trying to enter this country."

“Don't tell me his policies are humane. They're killing people at record numbers. They're killing migrants' record numbers. They're killing Americans' record numbers. Bottom line. President Trump was one bad*ss president.”
