That means we’re currently 13 weeks and 1 day, or approximately 2,208 hours away. But who’s counting anyway? Now, don’t get me wrong. Emily In Paris certainly isn’t the best show on TV. It’s not going to change your life by any stretch of the imagination. It probably isn’t even going to inspire your next outfit. What it will do, however, is distract you with humorously bad one-liners, over-the-top relationship drama, and bizarre fashion that will surely be more enjoyable than watching yet another hour of leftist propaganda rife with unnecessary (and disturbing) sex scenes.

Emily In Paris isn’t that serious, and that’s what makes it so fun to consume. It’s preposterously cheesy, and it’s certainly for the girlies’ eyes only. Take it from me, get your man as far from the screen as you can while this plays. His eye rolls and smirking at every interaction will surely ruin the fun. That being said, there is one thing I wish Emily In Paris would improve upon: the fashion. As a Francophile (as I’m sure much of this audience is,) I think I speak for all of us when I say that we want to see gorgeous, chic, effortlessly sexy Parisian fashion – not the loud, obnoxious, campy pieces they dress the beautiful Lily Collins in each season. Is it just me, or do we think the stylist has a personal vendetta against the actress?

We get it – Emily is an ex-pat, and as one would assume, she stuck out like a sore thumb in Seasons 1 through 4, but come on. She’s been in Paris for several years now, engrained herself in the culture, surrounded herself with French friends (and lovers), and we’re still supposed to go along with the idea that she’s as cheesy as she was when she deplaned? Emily is quirky, sure, but at this point, she should also be mature enough to realize that mixing loud prints and wearing white go-go boots is tacky at best.

Regardless, I’m hoping this season that the creators behind Emily In Paris have finally taken the audiences’ criticism to heart and given Emily a wardrobe she can feel tres chic in. In this shopping haul, we’re pulling inspiration from real Parisians without losing all of Emily’s bold personality and admiration for fun designs and colors. Here are 65 Parisian-inspired items we’d love to see on Emily in Season 5 of Emily In Paris.
