Even so, planning for Christmas can get hectic, so it’s extra important to set aside time to reconnect with those closest to us in the midst of the holiday rush, boyfriends and husbands most of all.

In the Christmas months, there are countless ways to celebrate the season and get in the Christmas spirit. With decorations, lights, and nostalgic music everywhere we go, Christmas allows us to see the world in a more romantic light. Capitalize on the opportunities that Christmas has to offer and grow closer to your man at the same time.

1. Ice Skating

Ice skating is one of the most quintessential holiday dates. Most cities will have an outdoor skating rink at this time of year, even in the South. Getting out on the ice truly allows you to embrace wintertime and its unique beauty. No matter your skill level, you’ll have a great time together, whether from gliding around the rink hand in hand, or from clinging onto each other for support. Be sure to grab some cocoa to warm up afterward!

2. Go Christmas Shopping

Get your Christmas shopping done together, that is, for everyone except each other. Find an outdoor mall or shopping center for the full experience, and walk together, shopping bags in tow, Christmas music playing overhead. Check out the holiday décor and displays, and grab lunch together while you’re there.

3. See a Holiday Movie

Watch a holiday movie with your man. There are usually a lot of movies that come out during the holiday season, so you could book tickets to see something new for a classic movie theater date. Alternatively, you can rewatch a classic Christmas movie at home, cozied up with blankets and snacks.

4. Visit a Christmas Tree Farm

If you live in a state where this is possible, go to a Christmas tree farm for the ultimate Christmas date. You can get your Christmas tree authentically, as well as wreaths, ornaments, and more, at a Christmas tree farm. With the rows of pine trees and holiday décor, there will also be countless photo opportunities to get the perfect couples pic for the gram'.

5. Go to a Christmas Market

Christmas markets can be found all around the world and are a fail-proof way to get in the Christmas spirit. You can find small Christmas markets at local churches, while some cities also have major ones. You’ll be sure to find handmade goods, gift ideas, and a number of holiday snacks, like warm pretzels, roasted nuts, and eggnog.

6. Eat a Romantic Italian Dinner

You can’t go wrong with the classic dinner date. Find a restaurant you love or try a new one. Look for one with a quieter, more romantic atmosphere, and sit at a table for two. Upscale Italian is always a classic. Order pasta or share a wood oven-fired pizza and be sure to try some gelato afterward.

7. Go for a Winter Walk

Sometimes, a simple walk is the best date of all, especially if there’s snow. Bundle up and walk down main street, through a park, or by a waterfront and look at all the Christmas decorations as you go. Focus on spending quality time together and have a great conversation to feel closer as a couple.

8. Look at Christmas Lights

Christmas lights are one of the defining signs the holiday season has arrived. We’re all thankful for the people who go all out with their Christmas decorations! Research where the neighborhoods with the best Christmas lights in your location are and drive by. For an even more spectacular sight, see if there is a light show near you that you can watch.

9. Bake Christmas Cookies

Baking something together is a great bonding experience. You can see the true results of your efforts, and share the cookies with friends and family. Make classic sugar cut-out cookies, gingerbread men, snowballs, peanut butter blossoms, or chocolate peppermint crinkle cookies. 10. Get Drinks at a Cozy Cafe

Find a quaint cafe or bakery, and order hot drinks, whether you like coffee, cocoa, or tea, and maybe a pastry too. Be sure to get something seasonal. You can go for a walk afterward, or bring a book and read.

Closing Thoughts

Christmas is the season of romance and a time to show appreciation for those we love. Celebrate the season and create lasting memories with your man by going on romantic Christmas dates together.
